Packers QB Jordan Love appears to suffer a lower leg injury in the final seconds against the Eagles

Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love was assisted off the field after sustaining an apparent lower leg injury with just six seconds left in his team’s 34-29 defeat to the Philadelphia Eagles on Friday in São Paulo, Brazil.

As Love attempted a pass with the clock winding down, he was hit by two Eagles defenders and fell to the ground in pain. He remained on the field while team doctors assessed him before being helped to the sideline, where he did not return to the game.

Backup quarterback Malik Willis, who joined the Packers at the end of August, took over for the final two plays. He threw an incomplete pass and was sacked as the game concluded.

During the game, Love completed 17 of 34 passes for 260 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception.

Packers coach Matt LaFleur, when asked about the severity of Love's injury, responded, "I don't know."

Love signed a four-year, $220 million contract in July to stay with the Packers through the 2028 season. The deal included a record $75 million signing bonus and $155 million in new full guarantees, according to ESPN.

After limited play in his first two seasons, Love excelled in his first full season as a starter last year. At 25, he started all 17 games, passing for 4,159 yards, 32 touchdowns, 11 interceptions, and a 96.1 passer rating. He finished the last eight games with a 6-2 record, 18 touchdowns, and only one interception, leading the Packers to the postseason.
